Join Essendon Volkswagen and grow as we do.Role As Automotive Master Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex vehicle issues while ensuring all work meets Volkswagen’s high-quality standards. You will also play a key role in mentoring apprentices and junior technicians, contributing to the overall success of the workshop.Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using advanced diagnostic tools. Perform scheduled repairs, warranty work, and scheduled services to manufacturer specifications. Assist and mentor junior technicians and apprentices, sharing knowledge and expertise. Conduct test drives and quality control checks to ensure all repairs meet dealership standards. Maintain accurate records of work performed and communicate effectively with the Workshop Controller and Service Advisors. Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) regulations in the workshop. Here's what we're looking for: Qualified Automotive Technician with extensive experience in diagnosing and repairing vehicles. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Working knowledge of Volkswagen diagnostic systems. Passion for delivering high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team. Reliable, conscientious, adaptable, and customer-focused. Excellent communication skills, oral & written. A current valid driver’s license. Volkswagen HVT qualifications and experience are highly regarded. Must have Master Technician experience in a Volkswagen dealership.
