Reporting to the Head of Mathematics, the successful candidate will be able to deliver high-quality instruction across years 7-12. Candidates should have the ability to demonstrate a solid understanding of curriculum content, be able to use technology to support their teaching, and understand the individual learning needs of students, developing and implementing innovative teaching methodologies to enhance student engagement. We are recruiting for two (2) positions. Our Mathematics Faculty provides our students with every opportunity to achieve a high level of success at VCE but also to explore areas of Mathematics that sit beyond the standard curriculum. For our students, there is also a strong focus on problem-solving and ample opportunities to excel in extension classes, coding, and through a wide range of competitions. Position 1: This is a part-time or full-time Long Service Leave (LSL) replacement position commencing Term 3, 2025. Experience in teaching Mathematical Methods Units 1&2 is preferable along with some Junior levels of Mathematics. Position 2: This is a part-time Parental Leave replacement position commencing midway through Term 2, 2025. Ability in teaching Specialist Mathematics to Units 3&4 is essential, combined with experience with enrichment programs including AMT resources and various competitions. Qualifications and Requirements: Relevant teaching qualifications and current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT). A strong background in teaching mathematics. Aptitude for the use of technology for teaching and learning. Able to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
