Our College is seeking a middle school Mathematics/Science teacher from April-December 2025. The suitable candidate will be eligible for teacher registration in Queensland. Candidates must complete the selection criteria to be considered. About you You are passionate about engaging in an authentic Christian community. You are a competent and skilful Mathematics teacher and have experience improving outcomes for high school students. You are an active listener and a leader who engages with and builds strong positive relationships with members of the College community including staff, students, and parents. You can cater for students with diverse backgrounds, needs and abilities. Responsibilities As a teacher at Calvary Christian College, your responsibilities centre upon planning, preparing and delivering effective learning programs to unleash the potential of our students. As a teacher, you will: Reflect the College’s inquiry-based approach to exceptional learning in everyday practice. Plan, prepare and deliver quality learning experiences in line with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers. Maintain competency and a current knowledge of relevant curriculum programs. Create supportive learning environments and effective behaviour management practices. Assess students for developmental, feedback and reporting purposes. Maintain student records and samples of work and report on student performance to students, parents, the department, and other stakeholders as required. Participate in the collaborative development and evaluation of the curriculum and regularly monitor, through observation and evaluation, the effectiveness of the teaching program. Participate in co-curricular activities, school decision making processes and professional development. All teachers at Calvary are expected to plan, prepare, and deliver devotions as part of the College’s formation program. Required Queensland College of Teachers registration (or equivalent). Knowledge of and demonstrated teaching experience. Selection Criteria Applications that don’t answer the selection criteria will not be considered.
