Our Opportunity Work Location: Hedland Operations (Port) Fortescue’s Hedland Operations are located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people. This role is located at the Anderson Point offices.Roster: The roster is 4/3 FIFO ex. Perth or 4/3 residential.This exciting opportunity involves coordinating a team of mechanical project specialists, while managing the Engineering Mechanical Project Portfolio at our Port Operations facility. We are looking for a candidate with extensive leadership, project management and mechanical industry experience.Reporting to the Engineering Port Projects Superintendent, the Mechanical Project Coordinator is responsible for assigning capital, maintenance and safety projects to the project specialists, while holding them accountable to Fortescue’s project framework throughout planning and execution. This role also contributes to maintaining the Port facilities Ten Year Capital Plan and attends relevant leadership and shutdown meetings, while working closely with our Maintenance and Operations team to ensure all project deliverables are ascertained and met.Key Responsibilities 5-10 years working in Mining/Heavy Industrial sectors 2-5 years managing projects 2-5 years leading teams Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent Mechanical Trade qualification) Section 26 (preferred), Competency in SAP (preferred) Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint) Excellent leadership abilities with a passion for achieving team targets Strong verbal and written communication skills Confidence in interacting with all levels of the organization A self-driven, flexible, and proactive attitude Ability to prioritize and thrive under pressure Proven success in delivering large portfolios of projects in both brownfield and greenfield environments Expertise in developing and implementing strategic plans Valid C Class Driver’s License Qualifications And Experience Minimum of 3 years Supervisory experience in an online maintenance background Mechanical Fitter trade (or B.Eng Mechanical Engineer) About Us Be part of something big.
