About The Role Mechanical Supervisors – Shutdowns Position: Mechanical Supervisors – Shutdowns Company: Technical Lubrication Services POH: Perth with FIFO to the Pilbara. About Us Technical Lubrication Services (TLS) is an Australian-owned leader in technical lubrication solutions for the mining and refining sectors across the Pilbara, Western Australia. We have an opportunity for two Mechanical Supervisors to join the team, leading our maintenance team in delivering high-quality lubrication services across various shutdowns throughout the Pilbara. Ideally, you’d work a couple shutdowns on the tools to get a feel for the work we do before moving into a supervisor position. As a Supervisor, you will lead a small team (2-10 members) through the following tasks: Performing lubrication tasks on fixed plant equipment: filter and oil change outs, grease sampling, hose replacements etc. Assembling and crimping hose assemblies. Conducting routine inspections on fixed plant equipment. Work effectively within a team environment. Perform under pressure with excellent mechanical competence, diagnostic abilities, and reporting skills. Ensure effective task allocation, motivation and conflict resolution. Enforce safety protocols and ensure all team members are trained in necessary safety procedures. Ensure availability and proper condition of tools, materials, and equipment for maintenance tasks. Maintain accurate records. Identify training needs and facilitate skill development for team members. Act as a liaison between upper management and the maintenance team, ensuring clear communication. Address maintenance-related issues promptly during shutdowns. Qualifications Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role in a mining/shutdown environment. Trade Qualification in Mechanical Fitting. Section 26 or working towards (advantageous). Confined Space, Working at Heights, Gas Testing, and First Attack Fire Fighting certifications (within two years). FMG, BHP and RIO inducted (desirable). Strong relationship-building skills. High performance standards and efficient task completion. Positive leadership and collaborative mindset. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
