We are seeking a Part time Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our dedicated team within Ballarat, Victoria 3350. Your role will be to participate in the day-to-day operation of the laboratory, working as part of a dedicated team. Duties include Biochemistry, Haematology, Stat Microbiology and Transfusion work, maintenance of instrumentation and equipment and compliance with accreditation and quality assurance requirements. The preferred applicants will be flexible, punctual, self-motivated, display initiative and be able to work with minimal supervision. Required Skills and Qualifications Degree in Laboratory Medicine or an AIMS accredited equivalent as a minimum. Relevant experience in Biochemistry, Haematology including Morphology, Microbiology and Transfusion desirable. High attention to detail and experience working in a fast-paced environment. Ability to multitask and successfully work as part of a team. Exceptional communication, time management & organisational skills. The ability to contribute towards the delivery of customer focused services. Have own transport and be able to take part in weekend, evening and on call rosters, including public holidays.
