About the role Mermaid Beach Radiology is seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist to join our dynamic team at our Mermaid Beach, Queensland location. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support. What you'll be doing Greeting and welcoming patients to the clinic in a friendly and professional manner Scheduling and managing patient appointments, ensuring efficient flow and timely service Handling patient enquiries and providing information about our services, policies, and procedures Collecting and processing patient registration and documentation Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and files Assisting with medical billing and insurance claims processing Providing general administrative and marketing support to the healthcare team as needed What we're looking for At least 1-2 years of experience in a medical reception or similar customer service role Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients and healthcare professionals in a friendly and professional manner Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate record-keeping and efficient workflow Proficiency in using medical software, Kestral, electronic health record systems, and standard office software Some knowledge of medical terminology and an understanding of healthcare industry regulations Compassionate and empathetic nature, with the ability to provide patients with a positive experience What we offer At Mermaid Beach Radiology, we value our employees and are committed to their professional development and well-being.
