Job type: Ongoing - Full Time Organisation: Department of Transport and Planning Occupation: Regulatory Governance and Compliance Reference: 6501 Job posted: 15/01/2025 Closes: 29/01/2025 Classification: VPSG2 Salary Range: $58,539 - $75,175 Location - Ringwood About the Role Under the direction of the Team Leader Medical Review, the Medical Review Officer will review and process Medical Review cases, making fitness to drive decisions in accordance with legislative requirements, guidelines, established policies, business rules, and work instructions. The Medical Review Officer will manage Medical Review driving test bookings, scheduling appointments within Victoria. This role will also liaise with and provide advice to internal and external stakeholders and customers in relation to Medical Review cases and enquiries, ensuring exceptional customer service while maintaining the accuracy and privacy of all information kept by the Department. Review and resolve Medical Review cases, making fitness to drive decisions in a professional, courteous, and timely manner. Understand and accurately assess health information, communication, and correspondence received from customers and stakeholders, providing accurate advice and information in relation to guidelines, policies, and procedures. Contact customers and schedule on-road driving tests appointments within Victoria, ensuring all driving test outcomes are updated accurately. Prepare accurate and easy-to-understand correspondence to customers and stakeholders. Provide exceptional customer service. Escalate identified issues to the supervisor as appropriate. Proactively support change and suggest improvements to process and customer service delivery. Work collaboratively as an effective team member, participating in team activities and assisting to meet team objectives. Develop the skills required to undertake all aspects of the Medical Review Officer role. Ensure privacy of sensitive and personal information is maintained by operating within established policies and business rules. Other duties may be assigned consistent with employment classification, skills, and capabilities.
