In this position, you will provide comprehensive clinical mental health services and care coordination to people with a mental illness or mental disorder to help improve their health, well-being, and quality of life. As the successful incumbent, you will assess, plan, implement, facilitate, and evaluate mental health care in collaboration with individuals, their families and carers, other health care agencies and the multidisciplinary mental health team to achieve quality consumer care outcomes.Key to your success is your ability to provide interventions in a comprehensive, integrated and coordinated approach within a recovery orientated framework consistent with the NSW Mental Health Act. What You Will Bring To The Role Relevant tertiary qualifications as a Registered Nurse (including completion of a new graduate RN program or equivalent experience working as a registered nurse), Psychologist, Occupational Therapist/Social Worker Level 1/2 and currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), or for social workers — eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) Demonstrated experience in the assessment and management of people presenting with acute mental health disorders Demonstrated excellent negotiation skills and verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated knowledge of the NSW Mental Health Act and related legislation Understanding of recovery oriented care with demonstrated ability to meaningfully collaborate with consumers and their family and carers regarding mental health service provision Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel Computer competency including demonstrated knowledge and skills in the use of information technology systems used in Health settings Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.Need more information?
