Position details Full Time, Permanent Position Classification: Health Professional Level 2 with a salary range of $91,706 - $102,613; per annum + Superannuation or Registered Nurse Level 2 with salary range of $96,705 - $101,566 per annum + Superannuation Salary packaging arrangements providing tax benefits available for living and entertainment expenses increasing your take home income where part of your wage is paid tax free each pay, savings thousands in tax each year Generous above-award pay and entitlements. Location: Port Pirie, SA About your new role The Port Pirie Medicare Mental Health Centre offers a transdisciplinary approach in supporting people. Peer Support Workers and clinical staff collaborate to come alongside guests and make sense of what is important in responding to needs and connecting in the community. Mental Health Clinicians come alongside guests in offering needs assessments and interventions using different discipline skills, to support mental health outcomes for guests accessing the service. Mental Health Clinicians offer short to medium term supports in supporting the guest transition from the satellite service to holistic and integrated care in the community. What you will bring to the role Mental Health Clinician will have registration with the relevant accreditation body in the discipline field. It is a responsibility of Mental Health Clinicians to maintain all registration requirements and continuing professional development as below: Mental Health Nurse - Registration as a Registered Nurse under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Act 2009 with a current annual practicing certificate from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency is essential. A relevant post registration and/or tertiary qualifications in mental health nursing would be highly desirable. Credentialed status with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (ACMHN) would be highly desirable. Social Worker - Current membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) with no outstanding professional competency or ethical issues, or complaints known to the AASW which may preclude membership to the association. Minimum 2 years' experience in mental health practice and current Accredited Mental Health Social Work endorsement with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) is highly desirable. Psychologist - General or Clinical Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Occupational Therapist - Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate is essential. 2 years' experience in mental health practice and current Accredited Mental Health endorsement. Formal tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Psychology, Social Work or Occupational Therapy. What the role requires National Criminal History Check (police check) - disclosable outcomes considered. Current Working with Children Check - required before commencement of work. Current Australian drivers licence and access to a car.
