Role details The Acute Care Team is seeking applications for a Mental Health Co-Responder (Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, Social Worker or Clinical Nurse Consultant) to join their team on a permanent basis. Your opportunity The Co-Responder Program aim is to respond to prevent and safely resolve mental health crisis situations through enhanced cooperation, collaboration and understanding between Queensland Health and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS). About The Team Acute Care Services (ACS) provide a specialised mental health service 24 hours per day, 7 days a week to consumers within the MHHS catchment. ACS includes the Mental Health Inpatient Unit (MHIU) and the Acute Care Team (ACT) and improves the mental health outcomes of people with severe mental illness, who have become acutely unwell. ACT and the Inpatient Unit focus on the individual in an acute phase of their mental illness. Teams such as the Crisis Support Space (CSS) and Step Up Step Down (SUSD) are focused on hospital and Emergency Department avoidance, as well as ongoing recovery focused care.
