Location: Parkville, Australia Reference: 6611288 Full-time, Part-Time, and Casual positions available Generous salary packaging options to reduce your cohealth taxable income 24/7 rotating roster across day, afternoon and night shifts About Parkville Youth Justice Precinct Parkville Youth Justice Precinct is a youth custodial facility that accommodates children and young people aged 10 to 21 years (up to 24 years depending on age of sentencing). Parkville is the reception point for the Youth Justice custodial system, where all reception health assessments are undertaken before some young men are transferred to Cherry Creek Youth Justice Precinct. The primary health service at Parkville is a nurse-led model, with 24/7 on-site nursing coverage. This includes delivering primary health, allied health, dental and mental health services, and includes screening, assessing, triaging, and referring to secondary and tertiary health services based on clinical need. Role Overview The primary focus of the role for the Mental Health Nurse is to assist in the implementation of a coordinated responsible service that provides support to the General Practitioners in managing clients with severe and complex mental illness within Parkville. The Mental Health Nurse is expected to perform duties within the scope of practice of the role. Mental Health Nurses are required onsite 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and successful candidates will need to be willing to work a rotating roster and be comfortable working across day, afternoon, and night shifts. Key Responsibilities Undertake practice in accordance with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency Conduct thorough mental health assessments and risk assessments in an outpatient setting Maintain professional, accurate and contemporaneous client file notes, assessments, care plans and all other documentation pertaining to client's management What cohealth offers: Generous salary packaging options to suit you - tax free amount of up to $15,900 p.a (mortgage, rent, or credit cards) and a further $2,650 p.a (meal, entertainment expenses and holiday accommodation).
