What you'll be doing The Mental Health Professional delivers critical care and recovery-focused services to older adults. Key responsibilities include: Coordinating mental health assessments, care planning, and therapeutic interventions. Managing a caseload with acute and recovery-focused clinical interventions. Supporting consumers in crisis and providing timely assistance to families and carers. Liaising with allied health services and stakeholders for integrated care. Maintaining detailed clinical records and upholding professional standards. Essential requirements Qualification: Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist and current registration with AHPRA or Social Worker eligible for membership of AASWRegistration: Demonstrated full registration with AHPRA as Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist Selection Criteria Demonstrated skills in conducting comprehensive mental health assessment and management, including assessment, crisis intervention and care coordination. Skills demonstrating capacity to conduct clinical risk assessment and management including suicide risk management. Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to effectively work within a multi-disciplinary team. Demonstrated understanding of the range of healthy ageing processes and common physical, social, cultural and mental health needs of older people. An understanding of recovery models in mental health and the ability to implement these within clinical practice. Experience working in mental health and a demonstrated knowledge of the NSW Mental Health Act (2007). Current Class C Drivers Licence and willingness to drive for work purpose.
