About the Role As a Mid-Level Backend Engineer at Bilue, you’ll play a pivotal role in building scalable, high-performance applications using Kotlin, Java, and Spring Boot. You’ll work alongside talented engineers who care about code quality, best practices, and delivering impact. Your work will shape the way we build and scale our technology, ensuring we stay ahead in a rapidly evolving world. Key Responsibilities Write world-class, efficient, and scalable code using Kotlin, Java, and Spring Boot. Move fast and iterate in an agile, high-performance engineering culture. Solve complex challenges in system design, microservices, and scalability. Build and optimise APIs - design, develop, and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs that power seamless integrations. Push for excellence in code reviews, technical discussions, and best practices. Take ownership - we don’t micromanage, we trust you to deliver. Embrace Agile ways of working - collaborate in cross-functional teams, participate in stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint planning. Never stop learning - grow your skills, explore new technologies, and stay ahead of the game. About You 3+ years of experience in backend development with Kotlin & Java. Deep knowledge of Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices. A passion for clean, maintainable, and testable code - quality is non-negotiable.
