Mid-level to Senior Ecologist Your key responsibilities will include: Conducting ecological field work, including flora and fauna surveys, protected plant flora surveys, offset ecological surveys, targeted surveys, habitat assessments and biocondition assessments. Generating and reviewing ecological reports, including flora survey reports, ecological assessment reports, offset ecological assessment reports, offset area management plans, flora and fauna survey reports, ecological constraints reports etc. Providing ecological and development approval advice to clients. Maintaining and growing client relationships and actively promoting our capability to key target clients. Job Requirements Minimum 4 years’ industry experience, preferably as a consultant in a similar role. Tertiary qualified in ecology, botany, zoology, environmental science or similar. Experience in conducting and leading field surveys and delivering ecological reports. Experience in flora and fauna identification. Understanding of environmental legislation at local, state and commonwealth level. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, ability to provide advice and high-quality outcomes to clients. Ability to work from home, with regular travel throughout Queensland an inherent part of your role. The Role: As an experienced Ecologist at Trend Environmental, you will be based from home (anywhere in Queensland) but will be required to travel throughout Queensland on a regular basis to conduct field work. The role is full time, although flexible part time/casual options are available for applicants wanting to work around family or other commitments. Remuneration is negotiable and salary commensurate with the level of experience, depending on hours and desired flexibility.
