Job Description

Your role as a Mine Controller will provide safe, effective & efficient operation of these world-class machines. Job Description Duties for the Dispatch team will include: Set and demonstrate a proactive approach to health, safety and environmental standards and ensure a safe working environment is maintained. Engage with a crew full of diverse personalities to deliver monthly and daily plans with high levels of conformance. Ensure that equipment stoppages and delays are recorded and provide coordination to ensure prompt action by the Shift and Maintenance Supervisors. Support supervisors and operators utilise equipment resources to achieve the mine plan and production targets. Assist in optimising mining activities by providing operational coordination through the effective use of the fleet management system as part of the shift management team along with production, drill & blast and Maintenance Supervisors and Leading Hands. Ensure the equipment stoppages and delays are planned and coordinated to reduce impact to the production cycle. Coordinate and monitor equipment operator breaks and ensure equipment is refuelled and delivered for planned maintenance. Be an active participant in the continuous improvement program. Serve as a central communication personnel for mine production and safety, including emergency events.
