About Premier Coal Managed by Yancoal, Premier Coal is the leading coal producer in Western Australia, operating an open cut coal mine near Collie that produces around 3 million tonnes of coal per year for domestic supply. About the Role Premier Coal is looking for a Mine Surveyor to join the team on an 8 on 6 off roster. Reporting to the Senior Mine Surveyor, this role will directly impact the success of Premier mine. The successful candidate will gain exposure to all areas of mining, providing specialist advice and solutions in a geologically challenging and exciting workplace. The flat structure of Yancoal Australia will give you exposure to all levels of the business. Roster: 8 on 6 off (dayshift) About You To be successful in this role, you will have the following attributes: Tertiary Qualifications in Mine Surveying (Diploma or higher) Experience working in the mining industry (preferred) Highly developed skills pertaining to mining software packages and surveying practices (Vulcan, Point Studio preferred) Skilled in hazard identification and responsive to safety issues Competent computer user with working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite Sound understanding of global positioning systems and total station use Well experienced in the provision of surveying applications within an Open Cut coal mining environment UAV experience in Multi Rotor and VTOL (preferred) Well experienced in maintaining communication across several departments Benefits Yancoal provides a range of benefits to appeal to the diverse needs of our employees.
