Glencore employs over 145,000 people and operates around 150 mining and processing sites, oil production assets, and agricultural facilities in over 35 countries.The Role The successful person will become a member of a hardworking and committed team responsible for maintaining the integrity of all Mine Systems by performing maintenance and repairs of fleet management, voice radios, and associated systems hardware.You will be responsible for: Maintaining and installing safety technological systems within the mining area at Murrin Murrin including Operator Alertness System (OAS), Collision Avoidance System (CAS), and Geotechnical Monitoring instrumentation. Installing and maintaining VHF/UHF communications and mobile fleet management system hardware and software. Installing and commissioning High Precision Machine Guidance Systems and Fleet Management Systems. Installing and maintaining point-to-point microwave and Rajant WiFi mesh systems and associated applications. Performing preventative maintenance through regular inspections to ensure equipment meets safe working requirements. Assisting with mining databases and reporting. Maintaining communication and Fleet Management System parts inventory. About You This role would suit a technically minded person looking for a new opportunity within a mining setting where no two days are the same. You will also have:Experience maintaining Wi-Fi mesh networks and exposure to safety systems such as OAS and CAS. Experience installing, maintaining, and fault finding radio communications equipment and Fleet Management Systems. Experience in the configuration and programming of communication devices. An aptitude for learning technical material and a detail-oriented approach. Understanding of Microwave PTP, PTMP based radio, and antenna systems. The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
