We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Mining Operations Manager to lead our team and spearhead the continued growth of our company. As a key leader within the organisation, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, including strategic planning, financial management, team leadership, and client relationship development. Position Overview: The Mining Operations Manager will play a critical role in shaping the company’s direction and ensuring operational excellence across all departments. You will be responsible for formulating and executing strategic initiatives, managing operational performance, and leading a dedicated team to drive long-term success. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance operational efficiency and promote continuous improvement across both internal and external operations. Manage day-to-day business performance, ensuring optimal service delivery, mine production, asset maintenance, and resource allocation. Lead, mentor, and inspire an established management team, fostering a positive, collaborative, and high-performance culture. Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, suppliers, industry partners, and key stakeholders. Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, estimating, and reporting, ensuring sound financial management and profitability. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Address operational challenges and contribute to the strategic direction of the company in line with industry trends and best practices. Qualifications and Experience: A degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field is preferred; however, substantial industry experience will be highly regarded. At least 5 years of proven senior management experience, preferably in the mining services or transport sector. A minimum of 10 years’ experience in open-pit mining operations, with a strong understanding of the operational, technical, and commercial aspects. Exceptional leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate teams towards achieving company goals. Proven experience in developing and executing strategic business plans. Strong financial acumen, with advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. A deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the mining industry. Essential Requirement: Applicants must reside in Kalgoorlie-Boulder or the surrounding areas, or be willing to relocate.
