Experienced Mixed Veterinary Surgeon, Hughenden, QLD, Australia. From £50k DOE plus accommodation, relocation, and a car. You’re a good vet, an adventurous vet who is starting to get itchy feet. Things change, circumstances change and the thought of moving overseas to utilise your skills excites you. The outdoor lifestyle, the mountains, the outback, the long blue-sky days, and their ‘happy-go-lucky’ attitude to life has had you dreaming about moving to Australia for a long time. A privately owned clinic based in Hughenden, Queensland is hiring for growth and they are looking for an experienced mixed vet to join their team. You will be joining a family where everyone pulls together when there’s work, and relaxes when it’s time. Ideas are encouraged and collaboration is important, being independent they believe everybody should have a voice. As an independent, they are not in the crosshairs of corporate life, with no one telling them what to do from afar, and no pointless targets - the job is tough enough without adding additional stress. With a loyal client base and outstanding reputation, it sees them care and often work on interesting challenging and diverse cases. You will be getting stuck in from the start, don’t be surprised one minute if you are calving a cow, breeding a mare, plating a femur, and then having a cup of tea with an old lady and her dog! If you want variety this practice has it in spades! At this practice, they do not believe in working their vets ‘into the ground,’ they believe in building relationships, improving their team, and giving the best possible care they can to each patient. A comprehensive CPD allowance is also on offer because investing in their vets is mutually beneficial. So, what's in it for you? Salary from $100k DOE, with performance-based wage growth. Relocation support and accommodation. Paid AVA subs and access to paid online learning resources. EVDS Dental Course will be fully paid for after 12 months of employment. 100% of after-hours consultation fees. Potential $20k per annum. 4-day work week, one weekend in three on-call (with a low call out rate). No regular Saturdays or after 4 pm consults. Work car available for work related activities and on call. A team member to help with your notes, paperwork, and billing! Located in a small town called Hughenden with plenty of amenities close by. Lots going on from Music Festivals, Rodeos, plus their annual Rugby 7’s carnival. They have water skiing on the lake, camping, hiking, and with the magnificent Queensland outback on their doorstep what’s not to like? So, what’s next? Send your CV, don’t worry if it’s not up to date. We can’t get the whole story in a job ad so ask any questions. I’ll answer honestly, no hard sell. Enjoy your new vet adventure on the other side of the world. #J-18808-Ljbffr
