Momentum & Edinburgh IPAD Freelance Roles Deadline: 07 March 2025 at 00:00 The British Council are looking to contract two experienced arts managers to support the delivery of two delegation programmes over the August Festival period - Momentum & Edinburgh IPAD. The British Council are contracting roles for two programmes with deliveries in Edinburgh during August; Momentum Delegate Programme and the Theatre & Dance Edinburgh International Performing Arts Delegation (IPAD). Role 1: Momentum Programme Coordinator Momentum, a delegate programme in Edinburgh every August, offers a vibrant platform for global cultural leaders to connect with the city's renowned festivals, the Scottish cultural sector, and the international community. It's a partnership project by British Council Scotland, Creative Scotland, and Festivals Edinburgh. The programme offers delegates a bespoke 4-day itinerary where they attend high-level meetings with relevant cultural figures and direct engagement with the directors of Edinburgh’s eleven major festivals. There are 8 delegations of 4-6 people - 6 country/regional focussed delegations, and 2 artform delegations. Role 2: Theatre & Dance Edinburgh IPAD The British Council Theatre and Dance team is inviting up to 25 international promoters, programmers or producers of contemporary theatre and dance to travel to Edinburgh this August during the third week of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Edinburgh International Festival (15th to 19th August 2025). The programme is comprised of a curated selection of new work which represents the best of contemporary UK practice and is ready for international touring, by engaging with work presented by the UK Nations showcases and other relevant UK performing arts productions across the Edinburgh festivals, this summer. The contracts are for the same value and length of time, but are line managed by different teams. There is one application process for both roles.
