Job Description
Are you a passionate and dedicated educator with Montessori training for children in the 6-12 age group? Commencing in 2025. This position is open to both Australian & International applicants, sponsorship will be available for the right candidate. Canberra Montessori School are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our dynamic team! As a Montessori trained teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational experience for our students. Duties & responsibilities: Curriculum Implementation – design and implement engaging Montessori-based lesson plans that foster holistic development in your students. Classroom Management – create a nurturing and supportive learning environment that encourages independence, curiosity, and collaboration among students. Individualised Instruction – tailor teaching methods to meet the unique needs and learning styles of each child, promoting a love for learning. Observation and Assessment – conduct regular observations and assessments to track student progress and provide constructive feedback to parents. Parental Communication – maintain open and transparent communication with parents, providing updates on your students’ academic and social development. Professional Development – stay abreast of Montessori education's best practices and participate in professional development opportunities. To be successful for this position, you must possess: Bachelor’s degree in Education Minimum 5 years’ teaching experience Valid WWVP (Working with Vulnerable Peoples) card; or be willing to obtain Relevant First Aid training; or be willing to obtain IELTS band score of 7 or higher (if seeking Visa sponsorship) * Please note, you must also be eligible for TQI registration in the ACT.
