These roles are in the Sustainable Development and Sustainable Environment & Economy teams. Land Use Planning Coordinator, Environment & Economic Planning Team Lead and coordinate the staff and activities of the Land Use Planning team to deliver a high level of service in land use and environmental planning in accordance with legislation policies aligned with Council’s and the communities priorities. About you (Land Use Planning Coordinator): Tertiary qualifications relevant to strategic land use planning or a related discipline, and equivalent demonstrated experience. Demonstrated high level of experience in a strategic planning role with significant knowledge of matters affecting land use planning including relevant legislation in the operational context of local government. Demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to coordinate the activities of a team of professional staff with a focus on providing excellent customer service. We offer (Land Use Planning Coordinator): A 12 month full-time position (35 hours per week) Flexible working arrangements Salary and Conditions will be in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award with an appointment at a salary in the range of $98,083 pa to $113,644 pa (dependent upon skills and experience) Private Car Lease Attractive salary packaging scheme. Apply for the Planner (Development Assessment) x2 and/or Planner (Strategic) role. Planner (Strategic), Environment & Economic Planning Team Prepare and implement Local Growth Management Plans including residential, rural and employment land strategies, amend Local Environmental Plan and prepare Development Control Plans and any associated policies, programs and plans. Planner (Development Assessment) x2, Sustainable Development Team Assess and manage the processing of development applications and provide concise reports to relevant Council employees, based on up-to-date information, achievable, equitable approval conditions or justifiable grounds for refusal. About you (all Planner roles): Relevant tertiary qualifications in Town Planning or a related discipline, and equivalent demonstrated experience. Demonstrated knowledge and experience of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, Local Government Act and related legislation. Experience in strategic land use planning including preparing and implementing land use plans, planning proposals and DCPs and or experience undertaking environmental assessment of development applications. Progress towards a qualification in town planning/place planning or related discipline will be highly regarded for this role. About you (Support Officer role): Certificate of Attainment in Business Administration or related discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience, or working towards qualifications in town planning/place planning or related discipline. Demonstrated computer literacy with experience in MS Office suite of software (Word, Excel and Outlook) and other web-based platforms. Demonstrated sound interpersonal skills and ability to provide excellent customer service and deliver quality service outcomes as part of a multi-disciplinary team. We offer (Support Officer role): up to 12 months maximum term, part-time positions (up to 35 hours per week - days and hours negotiable) Flexible working arrangements Salary and Conditions will be in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award with an appointment at a salary in the range of $66,085 pa to $76,570 pa (dependent upon skills and experience) Attractive salary packaging scheme.
