The Opportunity As the Municipal Contract Manager, you will lead and manage waste collection, resource recovery, and environmental services for our municipal council contract. You’ll oversee service delivery, compliance, financial performance, and stakeholder relationships, ensuring that waste management operations are efficient, safe, and aligned with sustainability goals. Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Oversee the waste management contract, ensuring all KPIs and service levels are met. Act as the primary point of contact, fostering strong relationships and ensuring open communication. Work closely with depot supervisors and drivers to maintain efficient daily operations. Ensure all waste collection and disposal services adhere to safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Manage contract budgets, monitor costs, and drive efficiency improvements. Identify and implement opportunities to enhance service delivery and sustainability initiatives. About You Experience in contract management, preferably within municipal waste, transport, logistics, or environmental services. Strong leadership and operational management skills, with the ability to coordinate teams effectively. Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships, especially within local councils and government. Knowledge of waste management regulations, compliance, and environmental policies is desirable. Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and contract performance management.
