Position Classification : Visiting Medical OfficerContract Type : SessionalDuration: From 1 July 2025 to end of Quinquennium, 30 June 2030.Purpose of the Position Provide clinical management and consultation service to patients in the Department of Cardiology, including participation in an appropriate on-call roster for Cardiology at Ryde Hospital, and in management of inpatients in ward and acute assessment unit settings, and of outpatients as required. This care will be provided within the Cardiology scope of practice endorsed by the NSLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee (MDAAC). This position will contribute to the teaching and training of medical students, graduates and other health care professionals and to research, evaluation and quality improvement activities within the District.Selection Criteria MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia. Applicants must have Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians or recognition as a specialist by the Medical Board of Australia.
