Job Description

Location: Canberra on-siteContract Type: 12-month contractClearance: NV1 Clearance (Mandatory) My client is seeking a Senior RF Engineer to support the integration, testing, and validation of the communication networks. Key Responsibilities: Develop radio system procedures and RF-focused test tools. Provide expert advice on tactical data distribution systems, including AN/PRC radios and MANET waveforms. Analyse and evaluate RF performance for in-service and next-generation communication technologies. Conduct system integration testing, risk reduction trials, and acceptance tests. Develop technical reports and provide clear recommendations to key stakeholders. Ensure compliance with APS conduct, ethics, and safety guidelines. Key Requirements Experience in software development (independent or team-based). Strong understanding of RF systems, waveforms, and network communications. Experience with middleware for distributed applications. Network programming skills (Ethernet/IP headers, packet filtering, libpcap). Knowledge of defence communication platforms and EMI/EMC considerations. Experience with virtualization (ESXi), technical documentation, and project management.
