About the role We are looking for a National Category Manager – Specialist to join our Rural Products leadership team in this exciting new, fast-paced position on a permanent, full-time basis. This role will oversee all aspects of sourcing and supplying for our Fertiliser & Biological category. The successful candidate will drive value and benefits across the category, build supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, and manage the core product range while collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure strategy adoption and effective communication throughout the Elders network. Responsibilities As a National Category Manager – Specialist, you will enjoy a day including: Implement and manage a supplier relationship framework, conducting regular reviews to enhance value for Elders. Monitor supplier performance against KPIs and LTIs, providing detailed reports to management and suppliers. Gather and analyse demand planning information to inform strategic planning and core product ranges. Lead the project management of new product line implementations in collaboration with the Elders Network. Motivate and manage the team to exceed branch business plan expectations. Ensure compliance with all Elders’ people leadership processes and policies. About you To excel at Elders, you: Have extensive experience in agribusiness sales, operations, or marketing, with a solid understanding of agricultural supply chains. Possess a strong background in retail distribution, inventory management, and business planning, including KPI tracking. Are proficient in MS Office, with intermediate computer literacy skills. Hold a tertiary qualification in Agriculture or Business Management (desirable). Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to leadership and stakeholder management. Are committed to safety, with a proactive attitude towards compliance with quality and environmental standards. Are results-oriented, with strong commercial acumen and analytical skills. Are motivated to develop high-performing teams and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
