About the Role We have an opportunity for an experienced National Compliance Manager to operate out of the Sunwest Packing shed in Mildura and reporting to the Exec GM, Commercial and Operations. Our other farms are located in Katherine and Abbotsleigh. These regions are a focus of growth for us. This role is responsible for the operational and strategic requirements of the compliance function on all our sites nationally, assisting with the establishment and ongoing maintenance of the compliance framework in line with regulatory requirements. Execute and maintain the Compliance & Risk monitoring framework and reporting program Contribute to the execution of Compliance & Risk management, learning and development for all employees and responding to questions and escalations Compliance with assessments of incidents, breaches and complaints and when applicable, deal with and report to applicable regulators Ensure sustainable compliance with relevant regulatory obligations, audits, policies, and frameworks including Sedex/Global gap/HACCP/export audits and supporting Safety audits Responsible for document, process and quality controls Execute compliance risk and control assurance activities and control testing, obligations management and assurance activities, such as trade monitoring. Assist in identifying and analysing the impact of existing, new/proposed/amended laws, regulations, and industry codes and action plans to ensure compliance and manage implementation efforts. Skills and Experience The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience: Tertiary qualification (business, finance, law, or risk management) and/or equivalent industry certification Proven track record in a similar role in food manufacturing Compliance, and or industry qualifications Strong experience with major ERP packages and BI tools is essential (Microsoft & Power BI, Fresh Data is a plus). Intermediate to Advanced skills in data manipulation and analysis Ability to research laws and regulations and provide advice on the applicability within a given environment.
