Job Description

The purpose of this role is to design and oversee all elements of the DP World Container Parks Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) framework, ensuring strong corporate governance and the continuous growth of a safety-focused culture. Enable industry leading, practical and consistent risk-based decision making to prevent harm as we serve our customers with excellence. Identify and implement targeted HSSE national programs and projects that effectively mitigate significant HSSE risks and impacts. Key Responsibilities Develop, project manage implement HSSE initiatives and risk reduction programs. Develop and implement the Container Parks integrated management system to meet the requirements of ISO 14001 (EMS), ISO 45001 (OHS) and ISO 28000 (Security). Develop and implement National HSSE Plans aligned with DP World Group strategy. Promote Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and ensure the DP World CoR framework requirements are adhered to. Develop, manage and implement HSSE programs to address significant HSSE risks and impacts. Implement, maintain and manage information in digital HSSE system applications. Provide advisory and compliance support related to Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Chemicals. Provide advice to operations management on serious and High Potential incidents including regulatory notifiable incidents with the potential for litigation. Participate in the National audit program to ensure operational sites compliance against ISO 14001 (EMS), ISO 45001 (OHS) and ISO28000 (Security). Participate in National Greenhouse and Energy Efficiency Reporting (NGER) and National Pollutant Inventory (NPI). Drive decarbonisation projects in alignment with the 5-Year decarbonisation strategy. Lead the container park HSSE team members across Oceania to improve the safety culture. Manage and support the HSSE team to achieve KPIs and foster continuous professional development as HSSE practitioners. Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required At least 10 years’ experience in HSSE in a professional environment, with having direct reports for at least 3 years. Proven expertise in HSSE reporting, including compliance with legislative reporting requirements. Demonstrated understanding of operational aspects of a heavy industrial environment. Comprehensive knowledge of relevant regional jurisdictional HSSE Acts and Regulations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Advanced computer skills and experience with MS Office. Excellent customer service skills with ability to respond actively and with understanding to their needs. Ability to lead / mentor at all levels of the business to instigate change. Strong relationship-building skills.
