As the National Head of Claims, you'll be a key player in the senior management team that drives strategic and operational development. You'll lead our Claims Division of 12 people and 8 MGA personnel, taking charge of all claims functionalities and enhancing our stellar reputation in the Australian market. Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Development: Inspire and Lead: Manage a high-performing Claims Team with a culture of "Play Fair, Pay Early." Take Charge: Manage all local claims with fairness and efficiency. Mentor and Grow: Oversee the day-to-day activities of Claims Team Leaders and Adjusters, providing education and training opportunities. Build Relationships: Foster strong connections with all stakeholders. Innovate: Cultivate an innovation culture within the claims team, driving efficiencies and customer-focused benefits. Strategy: Drive Success: Contribute to company management strategy by participating and implementing. Collaborate: Work closely with other senior management staff to achieve our goals. Process and Procedure: Streamline Operations: Manage and update the claims process and procedure manual to meet Corporate and National Compliance standards Stay Current: Ensure policies and procedures are up-to-date, efficient and effective. Manage External Relationships and Providers: Network: Manage an established panel of external service providers. Engage: Build positive, productive relationships with all stakeholders. Represent: Attend conferences and industry events. Manage Internal Relationships: Collaborate: Provide constructive feedback to stakeholders. Reporting and Audit: Stay Transparent: Report major losses to reinsurers in accordance with the Claims Manual. Monitor Performance: Conduct local management reporting and audit external and internal service providers. Inform: Provide monthly reports to executive management and stakeholders.
