The Company This leading food manufacturing business is experiencing strong growth & demand for their products and continues to gain market share. With a large footprint of manufacturing plants around the country and values of customer service, quality & innovation their household name brands are only strengthening their position amongst consumers. This role oversees four factories and will suit someone that can manage both the longer term strategic vision as well as the day to day improvements and objectives. The Role Reporting to the Vice President Supply Chain you will be responsible for: Supporting and lead an operations-based team across production, maintenance, warehouse & dispatch, sustainability & safety to achieve/exceed KPI’s and deliver on productivity targets and operational improvement. Educate, coach, and facilitate operational expectations, lead change initiatives through the leadership team to deliver on all operational KPIs. Develop, implement, and maintain operations systems, training programs, ensuring staff structures and labour plans are optimised and meet the needs of the business. Develop and implement improvement plans for the operations, encompassing all functions including targeted and measurable KPI’s. Engage with customers to troubleshoot / work through any issues and engage to deliver positive outcomes for both customers and the organisation. Lead and coach the team in operational improvements across Health and Safety, Sustainability, Maintenance and Production functions. Report on metrics (KPI’s) as well as instilling understanding of metrics across the group to develop a performance-based culture. Investigate and develop solutions with the site leadership group for operational issues across the site. Your Background In order to be successful in this role you will have: Extensive operations leadership experience, responsible for leading large manufacturing teams across a multi-site remit, ideally within food manufacturing environments. Proven experience in developing and building strong leadership groups across manufacturing plants leading to positive change. The ability and track record of being able to see the bigger picture and step away from the day to day to deliver the longer-term strategic vision. Must have the ability to work in complex business with a broad array of customers & internal stakeholders including senior management as well as private & corporate customers with the ability to lead and influence where required. Strong continuous improvement background with a good grasp of sophisticated continuous improvement methodologies such as LEAN / Six Sigma and 5Y problem-solving tools. Good commercial acumen, able to understand and manage finances with the ability to identify the key cost drivers in a manufacturing plant. What's On Offer?
