National Sales Engineer - Marine and Coastal Engineering $140,000 – $160,000 + Super + Car Allow + Bonus My client is a global leader in the design, engineering, manufacture, and implementation of world-class civil and environmental protection systems. The company has been in business globally for over 200 years and continues to shape the landscape with their constant drive to innovate and change the industry standards. The company has been extremely active in the Australian market for over 20 years and has built its own purpose-built factory where they engineer and manufacture 95% of their products for the Australian and New Zealand markets. The business employs over 40 people nationally, with the shortest tenure consisting of 5 years, and drives a company culture focused on the whole company's success and leading products into the market. As a result of the company's forward-thinking and constant product development, they have created a brand new product line targeting their newest industry venture of Coastal and Marine Engineering. The Role This Technical National Sales Engineer position is a newly created role with a genuine long-term focus. In this role, you will be instrumental in growing, developing, and harnessing the company's Coastal Engineering division and building relationships across Australia. The company has developed new products designed to create safe environments around harbours and maintain our coastal infrastructure, including newly engineered snap-back prevention equipment and coastal shoring products. This role is a complete turnkey solution position, requiring you to develop business from inception through to project management and handover. The life cycles of these projects can vary; however, this is not a transactional role and will require a high level of attention to detail, customer engagement, and time management. This will be a fully autonomous role, allowing you to visit clients and work from a home office. You will have complete control of your schedule, appointments, travel, and all other aspects of your day-to-day responsibilities. You will use your industry knowledge to identify key clients and areas of opportunity, liaising with them to design and present complete technical solutions for their needs. About You Due to the technical nature of this position, there are niche requirements. You must have an engineering degree and current local experience in a technical sales, project management, or consultant role within the Marine Engineering, Coastal Engineering, or Coastal Shoring industry. You should be competent at managing major projects from inception to completion, working with external stakeholders and consultants, and presenting technical information and solutions to clients. You must also have a sound understanding of these industries, the equipment used, and the technical knowledge of why these products are utilized. The company is looking for someone long-term. With the average current tenure at 9 years, the business seeks to bring on someone who can spearhead this new division and grow both themselves and the business for years to come. You must currently reside in Australia with citizenship or permanent residency and have relevant local experience. The business focuses on collective company KPIs with a common goal worked towards by all staff. Some travel will be involved, but this will largely be dictated and controlled by you. On Offer The following package is on offer but can be discussed further. We will also potentially consider someone a little less senior who is dedicated and looking to grow with a revised base salary.
