About the job We are looking for a Sales Executive based in Australia to drive direct and indirect revenue working with SAS customers and our partner ecosystem across Australia and New Zealand. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a business unit that serves as the growth engine for SAS. In this client-facing role, you will be responsible for pipeline creation and lead generation activities, and selling SAS software products, solutions, hosting, education, and services directly to customers and through SAS partners in a high volume, multi-tasking environment. As a Sales Executive, you will: Develop and implement territory and account strategies to grow new software, hosting and education revenue and exceed sales quotas through full sales cycle from prospecting to close/ renewal. Create and execute territory-specific pipeline generation plans considering value-add of SAS Partner community to maintain pipeline necessary to achieve revenue objectives. Generates pipeline through effective lead management/conversion and proactive prospecting efforts. Collaboratively engage, educate and enable SAS partners in pipeline development activities as well as sales cycle execution to current and prospective customers (new logos). Build and lead virtual teams for opportunities of necessary internal and external resources (i.e., Customer Advisors, Consulting, Industry/Domain Experts, Legal, Enterprise Negotiations, Partners, Value Engineering, SAS partners). Prepare quotations and proposals leveraging a deep understanding of pricing, licensing policies, packaging, and approvals process. Connect regularly with new and existing customers to understand usage and satisfaction and uncover additional revenue opportunities. Required Qualifications 5 years of experience in a sales or business development role including a minimum of 2 years working in the technology space. Experience of applying advanced prospecting and strategic selling techniques. Advanced knowledge of software acquisition cycles and buying influences. Ability to quickly establish and build relationships with customers, including comfortably engaging C-levels; ability to communicate technical and business concepts via phone and relate them to SAS system applications and user needs. Ability to analyze and evaluate territory dynamics, develop a sales plan, and accurately forecast sales on a consistent basis. Ability to leverage in-depth knowledge of industry/market trends and complex business / finance concepts in selling. Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field. Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications. You’re curious, passionate, authentic and accountable.
