VOIP Engineer | Telecommunications Organisation | 12-Month ProjectYour new company Join a leading telecommunications provider known for delivering high-quality internet, mobile, and data services. This company is currently undergoing an exciting transformation, selling a part of their business and embarking on a separation and migration project. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic team in the telecommunications industry, contributing to critical infrastructure projects.Your new role As a Voice IP Engineer, you will support the Network Architect in design and integration activities, working closely with the internal Voice team, IP-Support team, Product team, and customer operations team. Your responsibilities will include: Producing High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), implementation plans, network drawings, test plans, and test reports. Providing technical assurance and guidance to internal stakeholders. Conducting research and development to support business growth. Offering technical support to sales and product teams. Managing hardware procurement intermittently. Continuously seeking ways to improve processes and exceed customer expectations. Staying familiar with company policies and procedures and completing any required training. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will need: A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related field. Industry certification equivalent to CCNP; Cisco (ENDESIGN) certification is highly desirable. At least 3 years of experience in an operational role and 2 years in an ISP environment. Experience with CUCM. Proficiency in IPv4, IPv6, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, BFD, IP/MPLS, VPWS, VPLS, PWHE, STP, Dot1q, QinQ, SIP, SDP, RTP, L2 QoS, and L3 QoS. Experience with Cisco and Fortinet technologies. Proven troubleshooting skills with packet captures, analyzers, and NMS tools. Knowledge of cloud platforms (VMware, AWS, Azure, GCP, Private Cloud) and network systems (DNS, DHCP, Tacacs, Syslog).
