Currently, we are looking for a Network & OT Security Engineer for our utilities client. As part of the Cyber Security team, the Network & OT Security Engineer will support OT security requirements in day-to-day operations in addition to participating in OT security projects. This is an initial 12-month contract with the possibility of an offer to perm. Your Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities Systems and network operation of the OT Security Laboratory OT Security solutions integration/operation OT devices integration/operation Vulnerability Assessment solutions operations/integration Perform assessment and proof of concept for different projects. Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on OT systems to identify weaknesses and provide recommendations for remediation. OT Security Monitoring: Include in the monitoring scope, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, industrial control systems (ICS), and other operational technology assets, for security threats and vulnerabilities. Threat Detection and Incident Response: With the SOC team, identify, investigate, and respond to security incidents in a timely manner. Develop and implement incident response plans specific to OT environments (playbooks, rules). Your Knowledge and Skills System and network operations: Proxmox, Linux, Windows, Fortinet, OPNSense, Cisco, … Security solution operations: TXOne, Nozomi, Claroty, … OT technologies: PLCs, SCADA, DCS, ICS, HMIs, RTUs, ... Vulnerability assessment and penetration testing, Qualys, Tenable, Greenbone, Kali, … System and network security architecture. Knowledge of CERT organizations and threat and vulnerability intelligence Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and regulations (e.g., ISO/IEC 62443, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, GDPR, ISO 27001, NIS2). Knowledge of relevant security tools and technologies. You Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering) or equivalent work experience. Relevant certifications, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified SCADA Security Architect (CSSA), or GIAC Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP), would be a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Passionate about innovation, technology, and cybersecurity. Our client has offices across Australia and this role can be based in Melbourne or Sydney.
