With our commitment to personal growth and development, great leaders, and passion for excellent member service, we provide an environment which encourages you to be the best version of yourself.The Role This role is responsible for the effective and efficient processing of Medical and Practice applications, have oversight of the processing and assessment of new business applications in accordance with Underwriting guidelines. This position is accountable for the Underwriting decisions made under delegations and as such must ensure that appropriate documentation, safeguards and checks are in place.Key Deliverables and Responsibilities: Assess new business applications in accordance with the established Underwriting manual and within established service standards. Prepare and issue offers, endorsements, and quotes. Collaborate with other professionals to gather necessary information and statistics. Gather and collate market intelligence. Document processes and procedures pertaining to the new business function. Conduct training for team and other areas of business as required. Liaise with the Underwriting Committee as required. Identify new business process improvement including relevant documentation and implement as appropriate. Prepare and analyse new business monthly reports and undertake regular data quality assurance checks. Respond to general Underwriting queries. Assist with renewal activities as required. Skills and Experience Experience in a similar or related role within an insurance company preferred. Proactive mindset, positive attitude and strong work ethic. Strong and effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Customer-focused with a commitment to providing high-quality service. Strong attention to detail. Ability to handle complex information. Adaptable and flexible in approach. Proficiency in using underwriting software and other relevant tools. Highly organised and able to prioritise workloads. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Formal Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in professional liability insurance underwriting. RG146/Tier 2 preferred. Thorough understanding of insurance principles. Certificate IV insurance qualification desirable. What's on Offer Attractive remuneration.
