Position Overview: We are seeking a Night Auditor to join our team at Next Hotel Melbourne. As a Night Auditor, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences while demonstrating professional leadership skills. This role requires you to support the Front Office Manager, manage daily operations, and ensure a seamless and secure environment for guests and staff alike. You will be key in ensuring the efficient operation of all guest services during the night shift and contribute to a culture of passion, accountability, integrity, and respect. Core Responsibilities: Align Guest Services team’s objectives and communication to exceed guest expectations. Supervise all guest services areas, ensuring efficiency and preparedness. Ensure the security of guest areas, including keys and confidential information. Oversee financial transactions, ensuring integrity in all billing and payment processes. Conduct daily briefings, assign responsibilities, and maintain smooth shift operations. Manage guest check-ins, ensuring personalized service and quick resolutions to issues. Monitor financials, track upselling opportunities, and ensure adherence to budget forecasts. Ensure that all special guest requests and amenities are handled promptly and accurately. Conduct regular stock takes and manage consumable supplies to minimize operational downtime. Guest Experience: Provide efficient and courteous service, creating memorable guest experiences. Anticipate guest needs based on profiles and preferences, offering personalized room allocations and services. Resolve guest issues promptly, escalating unresolved matters to the Front Office Manager. Financials & Policies: Ensure accurate recording of room tariffs and payments in the Property Management System (PMS). Verify payment details and follow up on outstanding issues. Monitor upselling programs and track financial variances to ensure compliance with forecasted budgets. Authorize special requests and late charges, ensuring all operations run smoothly. Qualifications & Requirements: Previous experience in a hotel environment, preferably in a Night Auditor or similar role. Strong attention to detail and ability to handle financial transactions with accuracy. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team. Professional demeanor with a passion for providing exceptional guest service. Ability to work independently and take initiative when required. Knowledge of PMS systems and basic financial controls.
