Job Description

The Project The CPB Contractors, Ghella & UGL joint venture has been successful in securing the contract to deliver the $3.1bn M6 Stage 1 project. The project will deliver the missing link from Sydney’s south to the wider Sydney motorway network making journeys easier, faster and safer. It will remove more than 2,000 trucks a day from surface roads and help return local streets to local communities. With work commenced in early 2022, the M6 Stage 1 project scope includes the construction of twin four-kilometre tunnels and associated works, linking the M8 Motorway at Arncliffe to President Avenue at Kogarah. The Opportunity The project is seeking applications from a passionate and professional Night Shift Safety Advisor/Senior Safety Advisor to join our Safety Team on the M6 Stage 1 Project. Working on Night Shift, this role will be responsible for proactively facilitating, implementing and supporting the delivery of all OH&S policies and procedures on site, and driving a positive safety culture. Responsibilities: Developing SWMS and Safe Work Instructions in line with legislative requirements Reporting site safety performance in-line with company OHS management systems Maintaining and implementing the Project's WHS policy, management plans, systems and procedures Conducting regular site inspections, reviews and audits Incident reporting and investigation Providing guidance and safety support to the Project Team Conducting inductions, tool box talks and corrective action follow ups Maintaining effective relationships with all stakeholders through professional conduct Assisting other employees in carrying out their responsibilities through support, mentoring and leading by personal example About You The successful candidate will have: A Tertiary qualification in OH&S Relevant experience working on major/large infrastructure projects A dynamic and energetic personality who flourishes when working as a team member and has no difficulty in working autonomously Additional Benefits: Night Shift Allowance Requirements: The successful candidate will be required to hold a current Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card or equivalent) and undergo a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing) prior to commencement.
