As a Nurse Consultant within the Mental Health Directorate at the RAH/CL/ED/SSU, you will provide advanced clinical nursing expertise and leadership to deliver exceptional mental health care. Your responsibilities will include providing direct mental health care, leading nursing staff within your team or unit, and managing projects that enhance clinical practice and consumer outcomes. About You We are looking for a compassionate and skilled mental health professional with a strong clinical background and leadership experience to join our team. To excel in this role, you will bring: Qualifications and Expertise: Registration as a Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (minimum three years), a current practising certificate, and a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing or equivalent. Leadership and Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to lead clinical practice change, foster staff development, and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care. Consumer-Centred Focus: A commitment to consumer and carer participation, with the ability to plan, implement, and evaluate mental health nursing care in line with recovery-oriented frameworks. Knowledge and Technical Skills: Comprehensive understanding of mental health policies, nursing standards, and legislation, with advanced skills in clinical systems such as CBIS, EPAS, and medication management.
