Nurse Consultant - Paediatric Eating Disorder Service Job no: 891296Work type: Part timeLocation: Adelaide Metro SouthernCategories: Nursing/Midwifery, Public Health Southern Adelaide Local Health Network – Flinders Medical Centre – Women's and Children's Salary $125,183 -$130,779 (Pro Rata) RN3 | Part Time 32 hours p.w - Ongoing Join our Paediatric Eating Disorder team as a Nurse Consultant and help support our commitment to quality patient care. Women and Children at Flinders provide a comprehensive health care service for women, babies, children and adolescents. About the role: Reporting to the Nurse director of Women's and Children's Division, this role you will provide clinical nursing expertise for patients and families experiencing an eating disorder, in line with the Statewide Paediatric Eating Disorders Services (SPEDS) Model of Care. Duties for the role will include: Effective complex discharge planning / hospital avoidance through the provision of education, equipment and referral, Ensure the state-wide Paediatric Eating Disorder Service Project Principles are monitored and achieved and data required for the evaluation of the program is gathered and analysed, Contribute clinical expertise to learning environments, which may include individual/team capability development and/or post registration clinical teaching, Applies evidenced based recommendations to improve practice and service function, Provides leadership and direction, acts as a role model, mentor, consultant and resource person. About you: Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate, Holds a mental health qualification (e.g Diploma or Advanced Diploma in mental health) or willingness to work towards achieving this qualification, Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills, Registered Nurse with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience, Demonstrated competence in Paediatric & Adolescents nursing practice in accordance with the relevant standards.
