SA Health is currently seeking a Part-time, Temporary Contract Nurse Consultant in Palliative Care (Inpatient Trial) to join our esteemed team based in the picturesque Adelaide Hills.As a Nurse Consultant within the BHFLHN Community Nursing – Palliative Care Team, you will provide clinical nursing expertise to individual patients and groups, as well as offer clinical leadership in your area of practice. This role demands a significant degree of autonomy and decision-making, allowing you to thrive as an expert within your stream of practice.Your responsibilities will encompass: Primarily providing exceptional nursing care and integrating evidence-based practices into your standards. Providing clinical leadership to fellow nurses, fostering their professional growth. Coordinating and leading projects and programs that contribute clinical expertise to improve patient outcomes. Developing your capacity for extended practice by increasing your knowledge and skills through ongoing clinical exposure, postgraduate qualifications, and mentoring. Accepting accountability for your nursing practice, the outcomes of your care, professional advice, delegations, and addressing inconsistencies between practice and policy. To excel in this role, you must possess: Registration or eligibility for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, along with a current practicing certificate. A contemporary Professional Practice Portfolio demonstrating a relevant postgraduate qualification or active pursuit of one.
