This is a Permanent Full Time appointment What is our Nurse Practitioner - Mental Health role? The role provides advanced nursing assessment, diagnosis, care and intervention to patients and families within the scope of practice of a Nurse Practitioner in Adult Community Mental Health services: Performs advanced physical assessment, orders diagnostic tests, interprets the results of these tests, initiates referrals to relevant health providers, and prescribes appropriate medications and other therapies as needed; Provides clinical leadership as appropriate; and Develops and maintains evaluation processes of patient outcomes relevant to the Nurse Practitioner scope of practice. About Community Adult Mental Health The Community Adult Mental Health Service is a State Government health service providing specialist mental health assessment and treatment for people with mental health needs living in the community. Community clinics are situated at Butler, Wanneroo, Mirrabooka, Osborne Park and Subiaco. Community Adult Mental Health also includes the Neuromodulation Service and the Creative Expression Centre for Arts Therapy (CECAT), a therapeutic creative arts service that utilises a range of creative mediums and processes to assist in mental illness recovery.
