Nurse Practitioner - Alcohol and Drug Services The Alcohol and Drug service is a Multidisciplinary Service that is located in Ulverstone, on the beautiful north-west coast of Tasmania. We provide care for patients requiring assessment and treatment for Alcohol and Other Drug issues in an outpatient environment in the community including outreach and support in the hospital setting. Our service works closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce and the Tasmanian community. The Role: Working in partnership with Addiction Specialists, Consultation Liaison, Clinical Lead, Registered Nurses, Team Leader and Allied Health/Social Workers, in the context of the multidisciplinary team to ensure quality multidisciplinary service and patient management on the North West Coast. Assist in the provision of clinical leadership, and authoritative expertise in clinical care and interventions, as well as knowledge and guidance for individual case management, BBV support and testing, Pharmacotherapy treatment, Consultation Liaison with both the government and non-government sector from a harm minimisation perspective. Great work life balance: Monday to Friday day work. Multidisciplinary led Outpatient Clinical Environment. Opportunity to work collaboratively with the entire Alcohol and Drug team including Nurses, Consultants, Social Work and Allied Heath to provide a holistic approach to the provision of Alcohol and Drug treatment, planning and management. You will need: Extensive advanced clinical experience and high-level knowledge in the area of Alcohol and Drug Services, including undertaking comprehensive alcohol and drug assessments, interpretation of diagnostics, implementation of treatment modalities, together with relevant referral skills applied to a broad range of challenging, complex, and changing situations. Proven ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and accountability whilst working within a multidisciplinary and multi-service environment, including the capability of when to seek assistance, take advice and direction. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement appropriate education and professional development activities, including participating in, and promoting the value of, research development to improve nursing practice and standards of care. Details of appointment: Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Salary: $144,146 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023. In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type Salary Packaging: You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible. Benefits available to eligible candidates: Payment of $15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full time for three years or more, on top of relocation allowance already available. Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.
