Queensland Health - Birtinya, QLD Health, Medical & PharmaceuticalSource: Sunshine Coast Student Jobs Hub JOB DESCRIPTION An exciting opportunity exists for a Nurse Practitioner - Nurse Led Walk-in-Clinic who will aim to improve access to health care and improve long-term health outcomes through assessment and referral for early intervention and treatment of acute conditions. The NLWiC will support integrated and extended hours health care through provision of free, non-life threatening episodic injury and illness ambulatory health care. The NLWiC will provide assessment and treatment and advice to adults and children (aged over 2 years) for non-life-threatening episodic injuries and illness. Use of expanded skills and knowledge in assessment planning and implementation, diagnosis and evaluation of nursing care required. Assessment and management of recipients of healthcare services using nursing knowledge and skills which may include, but is not limited to: Direct referral of recipients of healthcare services to other healthcare professionals and prescribing medications and ordering and interpreting results of diagnostic investigations. Remuneration value up to $177 797 p.a., comprising salary between $149 259 - $155 831 p.a. (f/t), or salary rates: $75.27 - $78.59 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 8) (full time or part time position available, up to 76 hrs p.f.).
