About the Role The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) provides a professional link between Residential Aged Care and the Senior Management team and is accountable for the management, administration, and leadership of Aged Care Services. The NUM ensures the delivery of high-quality resident-centered care for both permanent and respite clients, within the framework of Kyabram District Health Service operational structure and fiscal resources. As a member of the Leadership group, the NUM will contribute to and participate in strategic and policy discussions for the benefit of quality client care. The NUM also plays a pivotal role in initiating and implementing innovative policies and programs to maximise occupancy rates and optimise AN ACC funding. Accountable for designated projects assigned by the Director of Clinical Services, the NUM provides clinical leadership and direction to ensure the delivery of client-focused care is aligned with best practice principles and relevant Aged Care Standards. As part of the Clinical Services team, the NUM will provide leadership in achieving and upholding the vision and values of Kyabram District Health Service.
