About the role: The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) provides leadership and direction to the multidisciplinary staff in the implementation and continuous evaluation of best practice models of care for clients and their families within the home environment/community setting. CANAS models of care aim to substitute and avoid hospitalisation and transitions clients to appropriate ambulatory, rehabilitative, maintenance services or to health professionals in accordance to the client's health needs. In addition, the position may be required to provide advice and/or possible future coordination/management of HITH services for the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS). About you: The successful applicant must hold at least a Registered Nurse Certificate or tertiary degree in Nursing. Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with a current annual practicing certificate is essential. Post Graduate qualifications in the area of clinical expertise are considered highly desirable. Post Graduate qualifications in leadership and/or management are considered highly desirable.
