Job Description

Nurse Unit Manager (Child Health and Paediatrics) We are seeking an exceptional and experienced Nurse Unit Manager to lead our dynamic Child Health and Paediatrics team, driving excellence in patient care and outcomes while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and compassion.The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) is a Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for overseeing the coordination of best practice standards in clinical care and person-centred approaches within the multidisciplinary Child Health and Paediatrics Unit. This role involves ensuring the optimal use of human and material resources for effective and efficient patient care. About the role: The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) is a Registered Nurse (RN) who is accountable at an advanced practice level for the coordination of meeting best practice standards for clinical practice, person-centred care within a multidisciplinary team Child Health and Paediatrics Unit, through the provision of effective and efficient human and material resources. About you: Current registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). A relevant postgraduate diploma or Master's degree is an expectation of this position. Where the successful applicant does not currently hold this qualification, commitment to completion within an agreed timeframe is expected and will form part of the performance and development plan.
