Nurse Unit Manager - Day of Surgery Admissions Full time Leadership opportunity Monday to Friday with option for a 9-day fortnight 17 theatres, 2 procedural suites Are you an experienced Perioperative Clinical Nurse or Nurse Unit Manager looking for a new and exciting leadership opportunity? About the role Brisbane Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse or Nurse Unit Manager to lead our Day of Surgery Admissions team on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting to the Perioperative Services Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to our Day of Surgery Admissions, Endoscopy/Pain and Theatre Bookings teams. You will provide day-to-day management of this department to ensure efficient and effective team outcomes and coordinate the delivery of nursing care, supporting and developing junior staff and working in collaboration with clinical nurses. In addition, you will build relationships with VMOs and work collaboratively to deliver superior care for their patients. Minimum Requirements: Current Registration with AHPRA Prior nursing experience in a perioperative/day surgery setting (5 years) Experience with people management, rostering, and maintaining department budget Proven experience building and leading high-performing teams with a service excellence approach Demonstrated ability to foster positive working relations with a wide range of diverse stakeholders Demonstrate a good knowledge base in labour management Understand the requirements of private health funding Excellent verbal and written communication skills A commitment to a high standard of clinical and customer-focused care Ability to work cohesively within a team environment Post graduate qualification in Management (equivalent or working towards) Why Healthscope?
