Apply now Job no: 502276Work type: PermanentLocation: South BrisbaneCategories: NUM/MUM About the role Mater Private Hospital Brisbane is seeking an experienced Nurse Unit Manager to work across Inpatient and Day Unit within Mater Children’s Private Hospital. This role will be offered on a permanent full time basis. Provide strategic and operational leadership to the nursing team in the paediatric unit Oversee and manage the delivery of high-quality patient care, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and procedures Develop and implement nursing protocols and standards of practice that promote excellence in paediatric care Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development among nursing staff Coordinate and allocate resources effectively to ensure optimal patient outcomes and efficient workflow Act as a liaison between the nursing team, medical staff, and other departments within the hospital Monitor and evaluate nursing performance and provide regular feedback to promote continuous improvement Participate in the recruitment, orientation, and ongoing education of nursing staff Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives Review and update policies when required About you You will be an experienced leader and will drive innovation in your field; using evidence-based research to suggest new ways of doing things and take a positive and adaptive approach to embedding change. Extensive experience in Paediatric Care with sound clinical expertise & leadership Current AHPRA Nursing registration Ability to demonstrate strong capability in leading both the clinical and commercial aspects of a tertiary service. High level communication skills within a multidisciplinary environment Demonstrated competence in cost centre management.
