ACHA Health comprises Ashford Hospital, Flinders Private Hospital and The Memorial Hospital. An opportunity exists for a highly motivated Registered Midwife with exceptional leadership and clinical skills to join our management team in the role of Nurse Unit Manager, Maternity Services at Ashford Hospital. This position is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the Maternity Services ensuring best quality patient outcomes are achieved for both mother and baby. The successful applicant will have a good understanding of NSQHS standards and will monitor and maintain VMO relationships and customer satisfaction. You will proactively manage and coordinate staffing, financial and material resources in accordance with operational budgets, WHS requirements and hospital policies. Skills Required: Advanced interpersonal and communication skills Ability to mentor staff and provide constructive guidance and direction Strong customer service focus with all key stakeholders Sound understanding of budget requirements and labour hour management Proactively manage and support the role out of change initiatives Active participation on committees and work effectively as part of the team Dedicated focus on continuous quality improvement and risk management Commitment to driving and participating in the consolidation and legislative requirements of the NSQHS standards Ability to liaise and engage with VMO’s and consumers Commitment to employee engagement Current South Australian DHS Working with Children Clearance Current AHPRA Registration (for nursing/Allied Health roles) Staff will be required to provide proof of immunity / vaccination to specified infectious diseases.
